Pro Shrimp’s comment: This new arrival was known as Ammania spec. Bonsai, but it is actually the “real” Rotala indica. This name was mistakenly used as a synonym for Rotala rotundifolia for decades. Unlike Rotala rotundifolia, die differences between the emersed and submerged leaves of this plant are hard to see. The oval to circular leaflets are densely packed on the stem and give a very ornamental appearance. The growth is always upright, which provides interesting design possibilities. The slow growth also favours placing it in the foreground or the mid-zone of an underwater landscape. A free standing group in a Hermianthus carpet looks particularly impressive. plant-it! plants are cultivated in the laboratory under sterile conditions. They are supplied in a 7 cm, sealed tub. The small plants are completely free of algae and snails and can be planted directly. This product is ideal for smaller aquaria and Nano Cubes and for modern aquascaping. The top right hand corner of the packaging very clearly shows how much care each plant requires. Before introducing the plants, the nutrient medium simply has to be rinsed and the plants divided. Clean it, cut it, PLANTit!
