Giant Vallisneria – Vallisneria gigantea – Live Aquarium Plant

Description

Vallisneria sp. ‘Gigantea’ is an easy, fast-growing plant suitable for large aquariums. The plant is from Asia and its leaves can reach 50 to 150 cm long by 5 cm wide. The leaves become so long that they float on the surface. It must be cut regularly so that it does not overshadow other plants. Hard and coriaceous leaves, not consumed by phytophagic fish. Vallinseria gives many releases if the soil is sufficiently rich in nutrients.
